Ask the question only words can answer.

An open-ended poll collects written answers in their own words — ideas, quotes, the why behind every opinion. Responses gather privately in your dashboard, one tap from the inbox.

Need a number and the why? Pro polls can combine types — stars plus text in one poll.

Pro tips

Questions that unlock candor.

Tip 1

Ask exactly one thing

"What's blocking you?" outperforms "Any feedback?" every time. Specific questions get specific answers.

Tip 2

Anonymity earns honesty

Leave voter ID off for sensitive asks. People say in an anonymous box what they won't say in a meeting.

Tip 3

Quote it back

Pull the best lines into your next update — people write more when they see their words move things.

FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from a survey?

No account, no login, no 20-question form — the open question lives inside your email and takes one tap to open, one field to answer. You get qualitative answers at poll-level effort.

Can responses be anonymous?

Yes. Voter identification is off by default, so written answers are anonymous unless you turn on voter info. That's what makes candor possible.

What do the results look like?

Responses collect as readable text in your dashboard — a private feed of what people actually said, ready to quote or count themes.

Can I mix an open-ended question with choice questions?

Yes — on Pro, one poll can carry up to 5 questions, so "How good was it?" (stars) and "What would make it better?" (open text) can live in the same poll.

Where do responses go?

Straight to your dashboard — privately. They're never emailed to recipients or shown to other voters; you decide what to share.
